Welcome!
Bayview Lodge is a four-star, selfcatering resort, and Bayview Estate consist of privately owned, face brick and thatch beach houses. Both developments are located at Praia da Barra on the north-eastern tip of the beautiful Inhambane peninsula, with an estuary behind and a l-o-n-g sandy beach in front of the two developments. It is a place to leave your stress behind, explore the underwater wonderland on your doorstep and enjoy the night sky, far away from bright city lights.
We are approximately 480km north of Maputo, Mozambique, and 25km from Inhambane. All roads leading to the resort have been hard packed with coral sand, making it possible to reach us without a 4x4 vehicle without any difficulty. There are regular flights from Johannesburg to Inhambane via Maputo (from O R Tambo Airport, Johannesburg) and free airport transfers to and from the lodge are provided.
Accommodation at Bayview Lodge is on a self-catering basis, but there are several restaurants in the area for those who prefer not to cook for themselves. A restaurant,
scuba dive centre and fully equipped conference centre are planned for the near future.
* The development has a wonderful swimming beach, which is safe for small children
