XAI-XAI BEACH RESORT

The resort is situated on the beach at Xai Xai and is a natural paradise. We have the ideal place if you want to get away form the rat race of your everyday situation. The property consits of 26 chalets of which 20 are wooden chalets with thatch roofs. - The six sleepers have 2 bedrooms and one bathroom, while the four sleeper have one bedroom and 2 coaches in the lounge. The other 5 more luxury chalets are brick and tile. 2 bedrooms and a bathroom.The chalets are fully self catering , but are serviced daily ( except Sundays) All the chalets overlook the beautiful Indian Ocean and from June - October you can sit on the deck of the restauramt and watch the whales playing.We have a Restaurant and we also do Beach Dinners for those more romantic soles. Eat some traditional food and see houw they live.If you want to see the better part of Africa, come to Xai-Xai Beach Resort.

Our resort boasts a bar and restaurant. The restaurant prices are generally cheaper than SA prices and seafood is the obvious specialty and much cheaper than SA prices. Beers are cold and well priced.

The swimming beach is 1km from our resort and we do have a swimming pool.

Fishing is excellent at Xai Xai, every boat charter catches fish on every launch so far, shore fishing is good at certain times of the year, especially from May to July, which is Kingfish time.

D I R E C T I O N S

From Maputo travel north on the EN1 for about 200km until you reach the town of Xai Xai, then travel almost through the town until the BP garage on the left, 300m after the garage take a right turn to the Praia de Xai Xai (beach), travel for 15km until you reach a circle, keep left and follow the tar road to the beach front. At the beach front turn left into the the dirt road and travel north along the sea shore (pass the caravan park on your left hand side) on a sand road for 2.3km, you will see Xai Xai Beach Resort on your left. Take care on the sand road for bumps and a sandy patch, although most cars get through the sand without any problem
